The 2011 ADS-ADEA Conference was held in Perth, Western Australia from the 31st August - 2nd September
The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) continues to work alongside the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) for the annual ADS-ADEA ASF, attracting in excess of 1,500 delegates and rotating around the major centres of Australia. In 2011 the ADS-ADEA ASM was held in Perth, attracting health professionals Australia-wide and from overseas. This forum promotes the exchange of the latest clinical practices and cutting edge research in diabetes with State-of-the-Art lectures, free communication sessions and clinical, scientific and educational symposia.

CME POINTS
The ADS has applied to the RACGP for CME points for the coming ADS-ADEA ASM in Perth and is anticipating the meeting qualifying for Category 2 CME points worth a maximum of 30 points to GPs who might attend the conference. A special GP training program designed by the ADS is running concurrently throughout the conference in a parallel session and as a result GPs are being actively encouraged to register for the conference and participate fully.
